Visiting a Shared Branching Credit Union
When visiting any Co-op Shared Branch, inform them that you are a Blaze member.
When visiting a location in Minnesota, provide your member number and a valid Government-issued photo identification.
When visiting a location outside Minnesota, you will be asked to provide a code through IDCheck from the Co-op Shared Network. This is to provide increased security for your accounts and avoid fraud. We recommend setting up your IDCheck validation in advance.
Visiting Blaze as a Shared Branching Member
If you are a member of a participating credit union and visit Blaze, you will be asked to verify your account information and present a valid Government-issued photo identification. If you are visiting from outside of Minnesota, you will be asked to provide a verification code from IDCheck.
IDCheck from Co-op Shared Branching
IDCheck is a new tool designed to enhance security and streamline identity verification for Co-op Shared Branching transactions when visiting from another state. This helps participating credit unions validate guest members’ identities and reduce the risk of potential fraud.
Setting up Your IDCheck Verification
- Visit verify.coop.org.
- Enter your member number and the last four of your Social Security Number.
- Upload a photo of the front and back of your government issued photo identification. Your ID is securely stored and can be reused for future transactions.
- Take a selfie for identity verification. Your photo is also stored securely for future use.
- You'll receive a unique verification code that will be valid for 20 minutes. Provide this code to the teller to process your transaction.
If you’re unable to generate a verification code, your transaction can still be processed. You may be asked to use alternative verification methods to complete your transaction.
