Blaze Credit Union is excited to announce a partnership with the Minnesota Football Coaches Association (MFCA).
“Blaze and MFCA share a belief in the positive impact youth sports can have on our young people and the role good coaches play in the lives of their student-athletes, “said Blaze CEO Dan Stoltz. “We are proud to partner with MFCA and to support them in their commitment to our high school football coaches and football programs.”
“We are excited to partner with Blaze Credit Union,” said Ron Stolski, MFCA Executive Director. “Blaze’s commitment to our communities, especially to the youth, is evident in the numerous projects and programs they support and help fund.”
Blaze’s partnership includes support of MFCA’s scholarship program which each year awards several $500 scholarships to students who are currently enrolled in a Minnesota High School and members of their high school football team.
In addition to the partnership with the MFCA, this October Blaze made a $12,500 donation to the 2024 Tackle Cancer campaign as part of the credit union’s Cancer Awareness month. Blaze contributed $2,500 to five Minnesota high schools during their fundraising game. Recipient schools were Eden Prairie High School, Sartell High School, St. Paul Central High School, Minneapolis South High School, and Wayzata High School.
“Cancer has touched everyone in our community, and we want to support our new partners at the Minnesota Football Coaches Association as they help to raise money for cancer research,” added Stotlz. “What they have done over the years with their Tackle Cancer initiative is extremely impressive and we are excited to contribute to their support of the Minnesota cancer community.”
The 2024 Tackle Cancer campaign has a fundraising goal of $600,000. Since it launched in 2012, Tackle Cancer has raised nearly $3.4M for cancer research and patient aid throughout Minnesota.
