Jim Ganger, SVP/Chief Retail Officer for SPIRE Credit Union, has joined the fourteen-person Saint Paul Police Foundation Board of Directors. In this role, Ganger and fellow community leaders support the Foundation’s commitment to the Saint Paul Police Department. Their projects create community partnerships, expand the use of technology in deterring and solving crimes, and improve the police department readiness through education on safety for its citizens.
Ganger’s Board appointment is representative of his commitment to giving back. He was selected as the 2016-2017 Minneapolis Aquatennial Captain, has served on the DARTS Board of Directors for the past several years, and was instrumental in the development and launch of the NetGiver app.
NetGiver is a donation platform that allows credit union members to give to charitable causes with zero fees to organizations or donors. For the past three years, Ganger championed a program where SPIRE matches member giving during the holidays, resulting in $150,000+ in donations to charitable causes.
Ganger is part of the senior leadership team at SPIRE Credit Union, which has surpassed $2 Billion in assets, and now serves more than 156,000 members, making SPIRE the fourth largest credit union in Minnesota in terms of overall membership. SPIRE has 22 branches with 370 employees.
“Jim Ganger’s expertise and passion for giving back will be a great complement to the St. Paul Police Foundation Board and their mission,” said Dan Stoltz, SPIRE President/CEO, “We are proud of Jim and his deep commitment to community!”
