Blaze Credit Union recently hosted over 3,000 members and guests for their Annual Meeting & Member Appreciation Day on Saturday, Feb. 22, at Grace Church in Eden Prairie.
This annual meeting for Blaze Credit Union follows a tradition of a large, celebratory gathering featuring guest speakers and entertainment, and $25 cash for each registered attendee upon exit.
“We are so thankful for our members for their unwavering support and dedication,” said Blaze CEO/President Dan Stoltz. “This event is all about showing our appreciation for their membership and their passion and devotion to Blaze. Together, we’ve created something truly special, and we look forward to continuing to grow, thrive, and celebrate our collective achievements in the future.”
The day started with the Blaze Expo where members and guests were able to get information and ask questions of Blaze staff members regarding financial services such as credit cards, commercial lending, mortgage, and retirement & investment services. Financial education seminars were also offered on fraud prevention, home selling, retirement planning, and financial wellness with approximately 300 people attending one of the seminars.
The main program included Blaze’s annual business meeting, with a message from President/CEO Dan Stoltz along with a special keynote speaker, one-handed major league baseball pitcher, Jim Abbott.
Thanks to the generous attendees, Blaze collected over a thousand pounds of non-perishable food items that were donated to PROP in Eden Prairie to fill their shelves.
Stoltz added, “Our annual meeting is our signature event, not only do we get to see and visit with so many of our long-time members but getting to hear someone like Jim Abbott share his story and his life journey made this year’s event so special. We cherish our members and offering opportunities for all of us to come together is one of those things that make credit unions so special.”
