Blaze Awarded Five Golds from Star Tribune Minnesota's Best

Blaze Credit Union has been named a Gold recipient in five categories for the Star Tribune Minnesota's Best Reader's Choice awards.

2026 marks the first year in the credit union's history that it has won gold in all five categories.

"Serving our members is why we do what we do," Blaze CEO/President Dan Stoltz said. "To be able to affirm our commitment with a milestone achievement decided by the people of Minnesota makes this very special for Blaze."

Blaze has now won Gold in the Credit Union category for four years in a row, and holds active streaks winning Gold in the Mortgage, Wealth Management, and Financial Services Customer Service categories.

Minnesota's Best Overall Customer Service (Gold Award)

A category in which all 390 participating businesses are eligible, Blaze has continued its streak of earning honors with its now-top rated finish in the Overall Customer Service category. Blaze previously received the silver award in 2023, 2024, and 2025.

Minnesota's Best Credit Union (Gold Award)

This is the sixth year Blaze has been awarded Minnesota's Best in the credit union category and the fifth time it has been the gold winner.

Minnesota's Best Wealth Management (Gold Award)

For the sixth straight year, Blaze Retirement & Investment Services has received the gold award in the wealth management category. Nominees in this category include all businesses offering retirement, investment, and wealth management services in Minnesota.

Minnesota's Best Mortgage (Gold Award)

This is the fourth year Blaze has been recognized as a gold winner for Minnesota's Best Mortgage. Nominees in the Mortgage category include all financial institutions operating in Minnesota including banks, fintechs, credit unions, and other mortgage lenders.

Minnesota's Best Customer Service - Financial Services (Gold Award)

This is the fourth consecutive year Blaze has received the gold award in the Customer Service category for financial services.

"We aim to be Minnesota's best...it's our core vision," Stoltz said. "It's a tribute to our employees at all of our branches for making people feel safe in their financial journey."

Winners were announced on the Minnesota's Best website on June 28 and included in a special Minnesota's Best magazine sent to Star Tribune subscribers.
