Hiway Credit Union Board Member Patrick McGuiness has been honored by the Twin Cities Business Magazine by being recognized as one of the Twin Cities’ Outstanding Directors.
“We’re fortunate to have someone of Patrick’s caliber as part of Hiway’s leadership,” said Dave Boden, Hiway’s President/CEO. “Patrick brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our Board, and he personally embodies many of our values. Patrick has been a huge part of Hiway’s growth and expansion, and it’s exciting to see his many contributions recognized.”
An attorney and founding partner at Zlimen & McGuiness, where his practice focuses on Minnesota's green industry, McGuiness has served on Hiway’s board since 2011, including serving as chair from 2018 to 2021. He also serves on the board of directors of Minnesota Lawyers Mutual Insurance Company and the Minnesota Nursery & Landscape Association.
A member of the US Army Reserves, McGuiness serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Law at the United States Military Academy at West Point. He was called to active duty and served from January 2015 through September 2016 as a Deputy Staff Judge Advocate for a joint command, and again from October 2016 through March 2017 as the operational law attorney with a multi-national joint task force while being deployed to the Middle East.
TCB Outstanding Directors Awards recognizes some of the most accomplished members of local business boards. Honorees are individuals who truly bring a standard of excellence from their day jobs to their corporate boards.
