Blaze Vice President of Consumer Lending Dave Walters has been named to the Board of Directors at Exodus Lending, a nonprofit helping Minnesota families break the cycle of predatory loan debt.

“I am excited to support Exodus Lending in abolishing predatory lending in Minnesota and helping individuals and families get back on the road of financial freedom,” said Walters. “To be part of an organization that truly believes in doing what's right for people and that supports the credit union movement of serving the underserved, speaks to my passion."

Exodus Lending works with financially excluded Minnesotans to advance economic justice through consumer lending, community organizing, and advocacy. They envision a financial system where everyone, particularly those who've been historically and systemically excluded, can access, protect, and build wealth.

As the VP of Consumer Lending at Blaze, Walters oversees all Direct and Indirect lending of Auto, Recreational, Personal, and Credit Card Loans. With over a decade of experience in the Credit Union industry, Walters has also managed Collections, Real Estate, and Commercial lending for credit unions in Texas, Wyoming, Colorado, and Minnesota.
