Hiway Credit Union’s President/CEO Dave Boden was elected as Chair of the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Credit Union Network (MnCUN), the state’s trade association for Minnesota’s credit unions. Boden was elected at the association’s Annual Business meeting, held during MnCUN’s annual conference in Bloomington.
Boden brings over three decades of experience in the financial services industry to the board chair role. He was originally elected to the MnCUN Board in 2019 and has served as Hiway’s President/CEO since 2013.
“MnCUN’s Board of Directors works to serve the interests of all Minnesota credit unions and to promote what we work to achieve at both the state and national levels,” said Boden. “The opportunity to serve not only Hiway and our members but to represent the interests of all Minnesota credit unions and members is a privilege. As an incumbent board member, I’ve witnessed the hard work and the collaboration of the group, and I look forward to continuing our success and increasing awareness of the great things credit unions bring to our members and communities.”
Under Boden, Hiway has experienced significant growth in both assets and members. During his tenure, Boden has overseen many key projects, including the launch of the Hiway Foundation, branch network expansion, rebranding and several critical technology initiatives. Boden has been the recipient of many community and industry honors, including being named MnCUN Professional of the Year in 2022, and a Twin Cities Business magazine Notable Finance Executive in 2021.
Outside of Hiway, Boden is committed to volunteerism, personally supporting numerous organizations including St. Paul’s Beyond the Yellow Ribbon committee, Gillette Specialty Healthcare, Spare Key, and many others.
