Tony Oliva
Well-known for his baseball legacy, Tony Oliva’s impact extends beyond the ballpark. Tony is equally talented as he is genuine and has been a positive influence on generations of baseball players, coaches, and fans. His deep community roots stem from his core values – it’s these values that make him a strong partner of Blaze.
Tony has called Minnesota home since his arrival to the state from Cuba in the early 1960s where he grew up playing baseball. During his fifteen-year Major League Baseball career, Tony won three American League batting titles and the 1964 Rookie of the Year Award. He is an eight-time American League All-Star and two-time World Series Champion. After retiring as a player, Tony went on to coach.
In 1988, Tony was inducted into the Minnesota Sports Hall of Fame. The Minnesota Twins retired his jersey No. 6 in 1991. In the summer of 2022, Tony was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame.

Tony and Blaze share a common sense of dedication to their communities and helping others. Tony actively volunteers for numerous organizations, and like Blaze, believes in empowering others to achieve their hopes and dreams.
